Santa Fe Plaza
Location:  Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA
Description:  The Santa Fe Plaza, established in 1610, is sorrounded by the Palace of the Governors and other Santa Fe style buildings with porches. It is used now, as it was originally, for markets and celebrations.
Anchor:  Palace of the Governors, Santa Fe Cathedral
History:  The plaza designed by the Spanish colonial governor in 1610 was much larger in size than it is now, so as to include the cathedral, which is now only visible through a side street. The palace is the original structure. The current cathedral is the third church built at this site.
